WELCOME TO NEPAL WELFARE
Nepal Welfare Foundation (NWF) is a nonprofit organization based in Kathmandu Nepal.
NWF founded on 03rd April 2002 and it has several sister organization working in environmental, Historical and water resources activities of the various district of Nepal.
The very first project initiated by NWF is Conservationist Memorial Statue Park in memory 24 professionals, conservationists and experienced civil servants who died in a helicopter crash on Saturday 23, 2006. The helicopter was carrying 24 renowned national and international conservationists including the then minister for forestry Mr. Gopal Rai, Geographer Dr. Harka Gurung, Secretary of Nepal Government, Mr. Damodar Prasad Parajuli, Mr. Sarad Kumar Rai, the then Department chief of National Park and zoo department, deputy ambassador of embassy Finland, and the country and regional directors of many NGOs like WWF, USAID, World Wildlife Conservation Fund etc. The helicopter crash created a incomparable loss to the natural conservation sector of Nepal as well as the globe.
Till today Nepal Welfare initiated many Environmental parks in the various district; most of them are under construction and also it has been active in doing various historic preservation and water resources activities in Nepal.
